We have been invaded! By artists that is. Not only was it Homecoming weekend, which brought Malvern alumni back to town for various reunions...it was also the 2nd Annual En Plein Air Arts Festival. This years festival by far out did last year.
Approximately 15 artists registered for the two day competition which required them to submit two original renderings by 2:00pm on Sunday for judging. The artist set up their tools in various locations around town to come up with their best work.
New this year was the Open Air Market on Main Street. Several artisians provided demonstrations and had their creations on display and for sale.
The United Methodist Church hosted the Quilt Show in which various community members displayed handmade and heirloom quilts. There were over 80 quilts in all.

As an added treat, there was live music in the new Heritage Park. Several different musicians played through the day, including Eddie Elliot and Malvern's own Side Track'd.

The event was capped off by the artist's reception and judging on Sunday.

Until next year.....
